Teacher and Principal for over 30 years. Some of her years of teaching include:

11 years at Spring Valley Academy, Centerville, Ohio

  • Grades 6,8, and 12
  • Language Arts Curriculum Coordinator K-12

19 years at Richmond Academy, Richmond, VA

  • Principal 11 years
  • Added K and 11-12 during her tenure at RA


Married with 2 children and 3 grandchildren (the loves of her life). Loves traveling and has been able to enjoy many trips to Europe, the Caribbean, and South America. An artist who creates flowers, faces, and more from tearing small bits of paper.  She was featured in the Vierra Art Gallery and has sold privately, accepts commissions, and has a store on Etsy at www/

Profession History

Teacher and Interim Principal for 7 years. Range of experience includes:

  • English Language classes in South Korea
  • Preschool and Kindergarten
  • Multigrade 3 rd -8 th Grade
  • Multigrade 2 nd -4 th Grade


Excels at envisioning and coordinating enrichment programs such as Robotics, Cooking, and Gardening.
Feels happiest when working and collaborating in a team.
Believes in empathy and compassion.
Personal record is having visited most of the continents, except for Australia and Antarctica, yet.

Aile Yero

Position: K – 1 Teacher

Education and Profession History

Ms. Yero has worked at three other schools prior to accepting the position here at Indigo Adventist Academy. She received her BSc in speech-language pathology with a minor in general education. She has worked for Southern Union Conference and Florida Conference in the Computer, Music, Education and Children’s Ministries Departments.


Ms. Yero’s interests outside of school include spending time with God in nature, family, friends and pets. She has three dogs. She also enjoys playing her harp/arts, spinning, weight lifting, computer coding and cooking.

Goals and Commitments

Ms. Yero believes that no two days in school are ever the same and watching the students grow and flourish is a privilege and one of the things she loves about this ministry. Ms. Yero’s goal is to follow God’s plan and fulfill His will. She is committed to instilling a passion for God and education in our students and ensuring each student becomes the best they can be for God and their community. Ms. Yero is looking forward to the new school year and new family in Christ here at Indigo.
